Our fudge got it's start in Skagway, Alaska in our Klondike Candies &amp; More Cafe. Our Signature Fudge was Skagway Shirley Fudge. This was named after my mother-in-law Shirley. She was a divorced mom raising a young child and working two jobs to make ends meet. Each year she would make her Double Decker Fudge and give it as gifts. Mom has long since left us but her fudge recipe still remains-handwritten, stained and still making delicious fudge flavors!We would like to invite you try our hand crafted, small batch fudge! "Liquid Bliss" was a name Chat GPT suggested to us after we asked for ice cream shop names that play on our last name, which is Tide. I know, I know. We're not selling ice cream (yet). But we will get there one day! Larianne is milk protein intolerant and vegan, Roody had a nut allergy as a child and now has an aversion to nuts, and our children have a mixture of those things. So creating yummy desserts that our entire family could eat was the motive behind all of this. Items will be on Pre-Sale from 11/9 9 AM to 11/17 12 AM! How awesome would it be to bring a delicious dessert to Thanksgiving at that family member's house who is vegan? Or to bring a little side dish to Friendsgiving for that friend who is has food allergies? Everything is 100% vegan (even the sugar). The food and the beverages are all dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, and soy-free. Most of the items are made only with coconut sugar, so some of them are even refined-sugar-free! How great is that? You can bite into something awesome and not feel guilty about it. Oh, but what about gluten? Well, the thing I don't like about most of the gluten-free vegan recipes is that they call for the addition of xanthan gum to soft then grittiness that you often find in gluten-free flour. But if you're ok with the grittiness, then I am able to make most of the desserts gluten-free. Just leave me a note, or contact me to inquire. My dream is to live in a world where the dairy-free version of everything exists (because I am milk-protein intolerant). So I will always strive to create a vegan version of ALL of my favorite treats. Come back for Christmas! :)

Hi Friends! Thank you for visiting our shop! So, you want to know a little about us? Well, here you go: I'm Lilly, yep, that Lilly :) I do all of the baking and most of the decorating. I've been baking for what seems like forever, but really started getting into it once I had my oldest son. I really wanted to make his birthday cake and wanted to do something more than the cakes I was making for work and friends. Then cue the Covid Pandemic. With us all quarantined at home, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to practice, try new techniques and really develop this hobby. Through lots of trial and error, I kept getting better and better, and finally, my husband (we'll talk about him in a minute), declared that he could not continue eating all of my treats single-handedly, and said it was time we took the next step, and so, on December 1, 2021, Lilly's Sweets &amp; Treats officially launched with our 12 Days of Christmas Advent Calendar cookies. Now about the husband: he wasn't just a taste tester. Richard was also my cheerleader and think tank member. When we launched, he became my official Partner-in-Bake! He's my collaborator and my pricing consultant. He jumps in to help with decorating, painting, and he's our entire fulfillment, packaging and shipping department! On top of this wonderful small business, we both work full time in Corporate America, and are raising two awesome boys who have been bitten by the baking bug and their passion for it grows daily! We ship USPS Priority, which is 2-3 day mail depending on where you are. We ship from Seattle, so if you are in, say, Florida, it’s more like 3 days. Once our lovingly wrapped packages leave our kitchen, we have no control over what USPS does with them.&nbsp; Shipping is set at $16.00 flat rate per order, not per item. We don't charge for handling. Castiron also charges a convenience fee. If you are buying an item for $12 you’ll be charged about $30. If you buy 2 items for $24, you’ll be charged about $45. It’s weird, I know. I wish I had more control over shipping costs. We’ve reduced the price as low as we can without sacrificing ingredient quality. Shipping to Canada is always more than $16! If you are in Canada and want to know exactly how much it's going to be, please contact me at marcenetmercantile@gmail.com *before* you order so we can work out the details. We ship Monday-Saturday during the fall/winter and on Mondays and Tuesdays during the summer. Chocolates (especially milk chocolate due to high cocoa butter content) will melt just sitting in your hand, so imagine what your lovely, hand crafted chocolates would look like after a weekend in some warehouse. That said, shipping chocolates in spring/summer or anytime to the Deep South is kind of a crapshoot. I’ve had chocolates arrive in perfect condition to Florida in 90 degree heat and I’ve had chocolates arrive in less than perfect condition to Texas during a cold snap. Again: once we ship to you, we’ve done everything we can to make sure your items arrive safely. After that, it’s Mother Nature and the USPS. If you need your items sooner, or you need to make 100% sure there are no melting issues, please contact us at marcenetmercantile@gmail.com and we’ll send you a quote for ice packaging and overnight shipping.
